Ballina Byron Gateway Airport is aprroximately 20 minutes south of Byron Bay and has a more linited selection of flights serviced by Virgin Australia, Jetstar and REX. There are car hire desks located at this airports arrivals hall.
Brisbane International & Domestic Airport a 2hr drive north, Brisbane Airport is a major domestic and international airport. Qantas City Flyer Service operates hourly flights to Brisbane from major citys. Brisbane Airport also has an Airtrain service which convieniently runs from the door of the airport to as far south as Varcity Lakes only 1 hour north of Byron Bay.
